Fatty liver kidney Syndrome (FLKS)

It is metabolic disorder of young broilers and layer pullets caused due to deficiency of biotin, choline, low level of fat in feed, stress, age, aflatoxin in feed and oxidising agent in feed.
Symptoms include dull, depressed, loss of appetite and lie down. Mortality may ranges from 5-30%. Post mortem findings involve liver and kidneys are enlarged, pale and fatty. Crop and intestine contain blackish fluiddue accumulation of blood. Treatment involves supplementation of biotin, selenium and choline.
